I have a new cooker hood but I think the installation manual is written in jibberish....
Here's an excert - "The cooker hoods power cable must be fitted upstream from the electrical connection using an omni-polar swith with a contact disance of 3m"
Should that be 3mm?? Is omni-polar the same as single pole?
Next is states " This appliance must be earthed - It should only be connected by a competent person using fixed wiring via a DOUBLE POLE SWITCHED FUSED SPUR OUTLET"
Is this not contradicting the first statement? I'm not an electrician but just want a bit of clarity.
Thanks
