Just a quickie...

I have a free-standing electric cooker, can it be wired directly to the cooker switch? I have conduit from the switch to behind the kitchen units next to the cooker and was wondering if the cable can exit the conduit and go straight to the cooker or should an outlet plate be used?

Common sense would say the less terminations the better...

thanks

Personally I would use a cooker cable outlet plate after the cooker control switch. It provides a safe means of isolation and complete disconnection of the cooker if necessary.
