We've just had a new combi fitted with new copper piping in the airing cupboard (which used to house the old cylinder). The pipe work looks good and my husband wants to put a clear acrylic coat to preserve the look of it. I'm not so sure it's necessary. Any comments?

What he should really think about doing is lagging the pipes to prevent heat loss

i understand 22 carat gold plating is popular with the odd oligarch and a few Arabian royal families

Brasso it once a month it will get shinier and shinier!

Any chance of a picture? We like nice pipework round here (y)
Not to disappoint - great work done by a 27 year old lad.

I would spend more time on the **** floorboards to be honest
Ah, that jobs all lined up along with the new shelving. He's purchased the spray laquer, we'll see if it wins out over the Brasso. All I need is for him to take as much interest in tidying the garage - a project 8 years in the execution.
