Hi i am trying to install the corner sink unit that I purchased second hand. It comes with no fixings. The lip at the front is deep but the main flat part is only an inch thick. Can anyone advise how to install please

Find out the make and model and find details. It may have a label underneath. You're probably missing a mounting bracket that came with it, which the previous owner has discarded as it was rusty. It may have attached to a frame that was built into the wall.

I'd be really nervous about wall-mounting something as solid as that anyway.

It may be worthless if you can't get the bracket/frame.

Or was it designed to sit on top of a cabinet?

OP,
They are bathroom basins. I call them ceramic basin bowls FWIW. They are straightforward to plumb-in but where do you intend to fit it - using a corner vanity or a narrow corner cabinet come to mind?
Presumably, you can break the silicone seal and use the bowl only sitting on a "work top" base?
Turn what you have upside down and pic it please?

Poster #5,
I offered three suggestions for fixing, & the possibility of more help for the OP if info & a pic are posted.- but perhaps you didn't notice?
What I noticed was that in a previous thread you got into various difficulties by trying to be smart.
Keep reading my posts & one fine day you might be a little more aware that OP's want help not trolling.
