Hi all,

Does anybody know what the seal is at the bottom of this tap, between it and the drainer? I think it needs replacing as water can drip through to the cupboard below.

Many thanks

Do you often sluice the draing board down. If not then I would think your taps are leaking from underneath rather than the seal.

No, it'd be the seal. The single spout twists the whole thing each time it is turned plus, those metal sinks can be very flexible.
Google for seal options. Here's something from Amaz@n as a start.

Thanks a lot.

Yes, it happened when I was cleaning the drainer down and to test it, poured a cup of water around the seal and dripping went into the cupboard. Doesn't happen when taps are running though.

So seal it is.

Yes replace the rubber washer. I glued a piece of 12mm upvc facia under the section where the tap is. And added an angle bracket to support it even more. You can actually buy ready made ones for the job.

Found my old post
