I have been asked to add some inhibitor to a fairly old heating system, what is the correct procedure to achieve this? should I just drain the system enough to empty the F & E tank and pour it in or should the whole system be drained and flushed thoroughly beforehand? I am a bit concerned that I may have problems re-filling it and removing air if I drain it completely.

Any help would be appreciated, Laurence.

I'm not going to answer this one - just in case I'm called a saleman again.
