Hi I have a problem with my diesel corsa w reg it has just stopped, the AA man said it was a fuel problem, my question is does this car have a electric or mechanical fuel pump? is there a fuse for the fuel injection?.
Thanks in advance.

If its a common rail engine it will have a pump in the fuel tank, you should hear it run briefly when you switch the ignition on.

Its a W reg 1.7d Corsa, i am trying to figure out if its an electric or mechanical pump. We had a look in the fuse box and the fuse marked FI was blown, could this be causing the problem? When the breakdown company came out they sprayed ether into the fuel pump and the engine started ok.

ive just spoken to a garage they are saying it could be the control module at the back of the engine, would there have been any signs of this such as spluttering etc

have checked power supply to the fuel pump, its live pump not working, is this an expensive part?

its a 2000, its the fuel pump in the diesel tank, is this what you class as a lift pump

Fixed now turned out to be ignition key immobilising engine.
