Cost of ceiling

artex now and few cracks along joins.
A builder suggested placing new plasterboard over the artex and plastering that. Room is 7m x 4m

Any ideas what that should cost?

About 6-8 sheets of 9.5mm plasterboard, some scrimm tape and filler. Oh and long plasterboard screws. A stepladder and a few glances in the loft (if it is an upstairs room) or use stud detector. So under £60 of materials but maybe a day or two of labour depending on the builder and depending on how nice the car is on your driveway

You might need a seperate decorator and an electrician to put back any lights unless your capable of doing that yourself.
