Cost of instaling if I buy the bits myself

just for all the hassle id say £5K and id want half before i start

Never never ever pay any tradesman for work before they have completed the job. Once payed, thats your ace card gone.

With an attitude like that I would never work for you, and to ensure i wouldnt work for you, you would receive a MASSIVE quote. The reasons i wouldnt work for you are that you come across as completly untrustworthy and quite likely to find any excuse not to pay for the work. the fact you have sourced the parts first indicates that you dont trust a tradesman to rip you off (even though the tradesman could have got the boiler cheaper than you, made a couple of quid for collecting it and still sold it to you for less than you paid had you come across as a real nice guy that would be pleasurable to work for)
Haveing any work done in YOUR property should be something that you care about as it is your property that will be effected, if you dont trust tradespeople to give them money upfront then why do you trust them to work on your property, a incorrectly installed gas appliance can kill / damage property. p.s. the type of cheap person you are looking to employ wont have insurance and wont be registered with GAS SAFE, he WILL have a mate who will come round to sighn it off for him, this guy will never turn up BTW.

Good luck with your project.

plumbers like prem football players ? I m not parking my Bentley in your street any way your neighbours may take offence to my page 3 wife, i'd only work mornings as in the afternoon me and the lads would be of to a lap dancing club then to a hotel for a bit of roasting. I'd say £ 150,000
a week should just about cover it .
ER, DON`T label us proper Old School 1 "O" Level PLUMBERS with the Prima F`kin Donna GAS FITTERS who think they are gods gift  Yes I would help the OP with everything but the boiler supply/install,and the electics-- And suggest they find a Gas-Safe bod who would supply and fit the boiler and Consider it a Boiler Exchange to existing water pipework

Well, as a punter who just got a new boiler installed, let me through my experience in. Got two quotes, one from BG and the other a local installer (got name from the Worcester Bosch website as i knew what boiler i wanted).

Boiler was a WB 37CDi combi, located in garage, replacing exisiting and retaining pipework.

BG quoted me £4.5k, local installer 2.5k and he included for adding TRV's to my bedroom rads (x3). Went with local installer who supllied all the parts, had a great rating on Check a trade and did a fantastic job, plus got a 5 year warranty as he was a worcester bosch approved installer.

He did not ask for a penny upfront, i just paid in full after the systemwas up and running and he had talked me through control panle (RF room stat) etc. oh and he isntalled a magna clean and another limescale inhibitor device on the inlet.

Thats in west london last month, so some of the prices being thrown around here do make me chuckle. Yes it was a garage location so nice easy access so obviously that helped a lot.

It all depends on the customer and what kit he is supplying... Some customers are sane and normal and know that although they have bought the main kit there will be bits and bobs that I would need to use off my van to do the job and I would apply a labour price plus a contingency for bits plus a call out whilst under the manufacturers warranty... This is normally more than the next guy would charge and so I price myself out of the market but at least I would offer a decent service, it is for the customer to decide then...

There are some mad biffers out there also who want cheap with Ideals or B&Q stuff... Then I politely decline.

Copper pipe, Solder, flux,fittings, wire wool, sand and cement, plaster,Magnaclean,room stat/programmer,screws,electrical fittings,bonding clamps,pipe insulation,sludge remover,inhibitor
.

Oh dear. And lots of Powerflo flux?

I'd prefer to fit the boiler myself and just get a Gas Safe bloke to do the connections, testing and commissioning. If I knew someone sufficiently competent, I'd employ him. Sadly, I don't.
