We've received a quote of 35K for a new roof, split half on labour and half on materials.
The building is about 26 metres long with 25 rows of slate tiles on each side and we'd need 5000 titles (which form £8100 of the material cost, Spanish Forna titles at 1.35 each plus VAT) and would have all the timbers, lining, etc (basically the whole roof apart from the main support beans, there's one on each side but these are still solid) replaced, insulation installed, new fascias and guttering as well as 2 windows installed in the roof (forming about £600 of the cost).
Can anyone kindly offer any advice on whether this price sounds right please?
