This is probably not an easy question to answer, but two electricans have just installed two extractor fans, which required drilling through 12” stone, which took about 6 hours and then one came back and changed some halogen ceiling lights and fourteen low voltage transformers.
I wondered if anyone could give me an idea of the typical hourly rate for an electrician in the warwickshire area, or an idea of what a job like this should cost, as they have sent an un-itemised bill for £630, of which £450 is for labour, which seems abit steep to me…..however, im happy to pay if this is the going rate…any ideas please!! :?

Doesn't seem too unreasonable to me, given the price of diamond drills.

You cannot ask these questions - forum rules!!

However, I would add up their total hours spent working, how many were on the job, whether they had to go to the wholesaler for materials etc..

and then divide it by the total.

14 selv tx's can be a lot! If I buy Osram halotronic trannys, they are 8.99 trade+ VAT...

2 sparks x 6 hrs = 12hours

1 spark x X hrs = X hours

Grand total = 12+X

450 / 12+X = ?? per hour
