I wanted to change the way the door opens by transferring the door hinges on the side of the door frame. I have installed a twin and earth cable on the other side of the door, so that it could be fed from the original light switch. A change of plan, and I will no longer change the way the door opens, so I am now left with the new twin and earth cable that runs across the door frame and that has been buried in plaster. Is there any way I can make use of that new cable, so that I haven't waited so much time installing it?

Please see both pictures. The original live cables are in chocbox on the right in the pictures. The new cable runs across the door frame.

Thank you.

Disconnect new cable
Refit original switch
Remove new back box
Fill hole left where the new back box was

Unless theres a Neutral at the existing switch, its only use is for a switch or a Pir sensor
There is no neutral at the existing switch. I would use it as a second switch, but I don't think that's possible with the new cable that I've installed. I may have to put a blank plate, as the new cable has been plastered over (I've got solid walls).
