Council... Insurance Companies

I was just reading all the replies about advertising in papers etc..

Would it be a worthwhile idea to contact the council to go on their books?

Furthermore with insurance companies? Would there not be work in that side?

Become part of a business network, many business people there who could share their customers with you and they know people who know people. Great source for new leads (even into councils, insurance companies, builders etc)

Networks: Chamber of Commerce, Business Link, all types of breakfast clubs, local network clubs.
We are part of 4 networks and it works a treat.
