Just a quickie. whats the best way to cover water marks/yellow staing? Should i just use oil based undercoat or should i use the paints that claim to block damp discolouration

Oil based undercoat work a treat on water stains, just smells a bit strong that's all, but hey, nobody's perfect.

Roughcaster.

You'll want to thin your undercoat with white spirit so it has a chance to soak in properly.

Alternatively try Zinsser, smelly, but dries quick and you can paint over within the hour
