i’ve had really bad flu twice in my life, once with pneumonia.
I was in no position to lift my head off the pillow let alone lie there with a fukin mobile phone in my hand being bothered to text people.
And anybody who’s had real flu will concur.
I’d expect anyone with really really bad flu to die.

conclusion . most of these people have mild flu.

a serious case of flu is really debilitating, Ive only had it once, you are so weak you cant get out of bed.

Many people get covid with no symptoms at all, which is why it spreads so fast. A friend had a comprehensive health check a couple's of months back and a final comment was that he had coronavirus antibodies, which came as a surprise at he didn't even recall having a cold all year.

Will be interesting to see what the appetite is amongst the population for unending and ineffectual lockdowns when the flow of taxpayers money runs out. Unless extended, the eviction ban is due to run out in a few days and soon after the cash for furloughed workers and self employed will dry up.

Imagining that large numbers of people thrown out on streets with zero savings and no more cash from the government will change many opinions and they'll be willing to take the risk of being one of the government's inflated numbers of flu 'victims'. Cold and hunger will definitely focus some minds on what's really important as will the economy crashing.
