Hi, the side of my house has cracked and holes in its render and naturally I'm worried about damp penetrating. I can't realistically get it sorted till next Spring. Is there any point putting Thomson Waterseal over the cracks?

You be best leaving it to be honest,

Any damp will be negligible if you do get driving rain.

Only downside is the render may crack more with the ingress of water and likely freezing over the winter

Thanks, the render in a bit of state TBH. Bubbled and cracked. I've had to cut the bottom of bulges to release trapped rain water. I live on the coast in rural Devon so it very rarely freezes but we do get driving rain. All being well it will be properly sorted with scaffolding and re-rendering in March/April, it's just getting hold of a good builder is a long drawn out pain
