cracking paint

:( does anyone have any idea why after having painted my dinning
room in white dulux one coat matt emulsion it has a cracking crazed
effect .
:oops: and how do i fix this problem ! many thanks .

If it was over vinyl silk you have your answer...

Id go over the whole lot again with 'real' paint...the one coat stuff can be far to thick and 'dry'

When paint dries the paint film shrinks as thewater evapourates, and the pigment joins together ..if it cant 'grip' to whatever you have put it on then it will crack and craze.

The more pigment in a paint the less flexibility it has so it cant cope with the shirkage and the lack of adhesion to the coating underneath
 
Crown, Dulux...any of the main manufacturers really..trade paint is better than retail

All Onecoat emulsions should be banned, period. Get ready for future Onecoat emulsion longterm disasters.
 
I agree with the last post, rubbish stuff. I also have the cracking affect and now have to repaint with real paint. Waste of cash!
