Hi, I’m currently in the process for of replacing 9 rads in our house (5 on the ground floor and 4 on the first floor). I believe these were fitted when the house was built in the early 80s. Behind each of the radiators on the first floor, there is a large crack in the wall, see pics below. I’m not sure how deep these run. There are none on the ground floor.
Is this common?
Is it likely to be just the plaster that is cracked or could this be structural?
Should I mend these before I fit the rads? How?
Thanks.
