Cracks in plaster

Hi

We had a 2 storey extension built last year - finished about Aug/Sep.
For the last few months I have noticed cracks appearing in all the rooms where the ceiling meets the wall. Are these settling cracks? and if so, what is the best way of treating them? caulk?
