No, just cut as normal. It’s the speed you pull the tube at that will dictate the thickness of the bead.
I know some people will say otherwise, but I always spray the bead with water with a few drops of fairy liquid in it, and also spray the Tool every time. Make sure you have a kitchen roll handy to keep wiping your tool !
