Hi - We recently moved into a new house and found the pipes going to the second floor creak VERY loudly as the heat comes on (we have oil/hot water baseboard). They creak every 15 minutes or so. I think this relates to the expanding and contracting of the pipes as they go against the surrounding wood. I wondered if anyone had experience with this problem? What are some potential fixes we should think about? About how much might repairs cost? Thanks!

if you can find where there binding try opening lte notches holes etc if not try insulation beetween the pipes and woodwork

no you might have to take a few floorboards up at worst and they will have been up to install the pipework
