Forgive what might be stupid questions, but I'm looking to buy my first crosscut saw for general small scale DIY. I want to be able to cut lap joints, so obviously need to control accurately the depth of cut. Problem is, I can't see depth control specified on any of the saws I might want to buy. Is this because they all have this feature, or do I have to look harder?

Second, for cleaner cutting do I want a blade with more teeth (Screwfix have choices between 24 and 60).

Finally, I'm assuming that its a sliding mitre saw I need, rather than a fixed one. Any recommendaions where the budget is less than £200.
