As the title suggests, i've cut to length the 2x6 timber that i am using for the perimeter frame to which my log cabin will sit on. It's crucial that it's level in all directions, so that the log cabin is square and level.

One of the long sections of timber has a crown on it, and when put next to another length of the same, it's approximately 5mm higher across a 2m section of the 3.3m length.

Will the weight of the log cabin bring this crown down so that it's level?
I don't want this to effect the build of the cabin.

cheers

In first fix work such as joisting out or fitting rafters it's normal to install crowned timbers crown uppermost so that when it's loaded the crown will flatten out. I can't see that your project requires anything different, as after all you arent building a fitted kitchen. In any case, if it does require some "fettling", that's what jack planes and power planers are for.
