Hi All,

Recently received a defective lightwave 2gang dimmer switch unit on eBay and the buyer kindly refunded me without question or requesting a return.

Curiousity got the better of me and I opened up the unit to see if I could find any evidence of an issue.

The unit simply didn't power up at all despite being wired correctly and tested on multiple circuits.

I've found what looks like damage but not really sure what could have caused it or what it even it (my best guess would be water damage)

Any feedback is greatly appreciated,

- Adam

Marks on the back are either where it has got wet, or it's been grossly overloaded, overheated and the thermal fuses have gone open.
Probably a returned unit that someone misused.
