Every job is relatively different, but a very rough guide would be between £1800 and £2400 + VAT depending on make, model and what else has to be done to upgrade your system to current regs.

Thats total nonsence without specifying make and model of boiler or even if its plus vat!

Like a "Brand new car £10,000" Is that a bargain? How can you tell without knowing if its a Lada or a Mecedes!

Thanks for your replies, but i dont know all the details only what an elderly relation mentioned to me. The price quoted is merely for the boiler replacement as far as i can tell. I suspect the "private co" is actually the old Brit Gas under its new utility name.
