Hi guys,
Please can you help me.
I have an issue with the bathroom walls and ajoining ceilings.
I'm trying to redecorate and paint seems to be flaking off.... With the curve it's hard to get in there with the paint scraper and sandpaper.... As you can see in the pictures the skimmed plaster has started to come away with gentle scrape from the scraper.... So my questions are
1)How can I scrape this area(particularly the awkward bit in the corner to repaint?
2)The plaster is a about 1-2mm thick and loose.. How is it best to repair this please? Can I do it myself or do I need a plasterer?
3) previous owner has seemed to have put what looks like grout between white tile and ceiling... Anything I could to better this?
Please see pictures.... The grout shown with the red line... Thanks guys

Thankyou

The curved part is due to the rafters. My bathroom is the same so I cladded it in PVC planks from Wickes. But you have that extra part of the roof to try and clad to look good.

It'll be a cold roof in the room of the house with the most moisture, so no matter what you do, you will constantly steam the paint and plaster off.

Hi Bonni,
So what does that look like using PVC planks.? .. Im a diy-er so I'm not fully certain what you mean....
The extra bit your speak off....? Do you mean the wedge of what look likes wood in the corner??.... Is it case of repairing the plaster breaking off first?... How it's the best to seal it.?
The lob of grouting any ideas on that.. Thankyou

Looks like a hip rafter.

I buy a pack of door stop beads and fix them to the ceiling with necessary packers under so they're all flat to one another. The planks from Wickes butt tight into one another giving a tight line. If you have a local SBS shop, their planks are wider at 250mm. I think the Wickes ones were 150mm ish.

Hey,
Can you send me pictures of what you mean... Whether items in the internet and/or pictures from your work because I have absolutely no idea of the items you talk about. I have looked on the internet but it comes up with everything.. Pictures of the items from Wickes and the beads you talk of would be most welcome
Regards
