Hi all,
A bit of a long shot question.
I need to add a new downpipe to the side elevation of my house to collect rain from a new gutter where, previously, it had been falling onto a neighbouring roof then overflowing their gutter 9Increasing their gutter size is not an option). The only available way to get rid of the water is to route the new downpipe to a surface water drain around the front, so it'll need to go down then track horizontally and around a corner along to that.
Here's the difficulty. It's a listed cob building that has, as cob buildings do, a very curved corner. A 90 degree bend is going to stick out and look awful. It's also directly onto the road so anything hanging out is likely to get in the way of pedestrians at least.
Stacking flexi or 45 degree bends to walk it round the corner is going to be really unsightly.
Ideally, I need to find a way to run a curved downpipe round the corner following its line.
Our conservation officer is great and recognises the need so I think we'll be ok with any material. We have plastic and CI now. Ideally, I'd go cast alu and replace the lot.
Anyone got any clever ideas for curving a downpipe, better options, or any suppliers that could fab such a thing?
Thanks
