Putting a new sink in the utility room, the 40mm waste from the kitchen comes through the wall so I thought I could use a tee for the new sink drain. It's an old painted compression fit cemented into the wall/floor, if I cut it and put in a compression Tee I'm worried there won't be enough flex to get the ends properly in, do I need to use a solvent weld tee to do this?

If the existing pipe is solvent weld, might be better. Any photos?
