I have porcelain tiles in my bathroom and directly behind the shower is a cupboard from where my old boiler used to be.

I am wanting to cut a rectangular hole in this wall so I can fit a small flat panel lcd tv, but I don't know what the best tools to use or if there are any special preparations I need to be aware of before I go ahead and start cutting.

Any advice would be much appreciated

What is it that makes this a difficult process? In my naivety I assumed as long as I cut slowly I wouldn't have a problem but people keep telling me how hard it is going to be.

Should I score the tiles first or cover them in masking tape to guide the grinder or is that not required?
