I'm currently re-fitting my kitchen and want to tile as a splashback, but don't know how I'll be able to cut the tiles if one of the sockets ends up either in the centre of the tile, or needing a U shaped section cut out.

What's the best way to do this?

If its the centre you can drill it out, if its not centre cut it. DIY job

I did my own and as a second timer it wasn't too bad....all I used was an £8 B&Q tile cutter....an electric tile cutter would be easier mind, especially on thin cuts. None of my sockets were central so I ended up cutting at least two tiles.

Remember once the tiles go on the sockets you will almost certainly need longer screws. ;)

Thanks for your swift replies.

I've got an angle grinder, so that might just be my easiest option if I get a diamond blade for it.
