Cutting tiles into smaller tiles

The tiles I like only come in 30cm * 45cm, but look to big for the room. I was thinking of cutting them in half (30 * 22.5). I problem I can see is getting them the same size. How do think they will look when grouted? Is it a bad idea?

Absolutely forget it. The cut edges will be very obvious, will be sharp and will chip badly.

I agree with above.
Cutting the tiles is the easy bit, you could cut every tile identical size, but when you lay them they will Look CRAP.

And if these are floor tiles, they'll cut your feet to ribbons.
