If these social networking sites , only allowed people to sign up using their ISP based email addresses, then the people making these horrendous posts could be traced. As it is, they'll allow anyone to register, using only a gmail. yahoo mail, etc, etc. Stop sites using these addys for registration purposes and I think the abuse would stop.

They can be traced but its a doubt wether they have committed a crime for the police to spend time tracing where it was from then go to all that trouble only to find they cannot prosecute, the law needs changing

I would say not so much changing, more like updating for todays needs, do hackney cabs still need to carry a bail of hay for horses?
