Hi guys

Posting this problem on behalf of my father in law.

He's had the above microwave for some time now and he loves it. Couple of weeks ago he said there was a burning smell from it and it now does not heat up.

We've replaced the burnt out magnetron, also replaced the capacitor (after observing the crucial discharging process) and diode, even tho these both tested as being ok. (Belt and braces and all that) Also checked the 4 various micro switches and all test as being ok. (Sprayed in some switch cleaner as well)

Still not heating up. It's making all the right noises so it looks like it's working, but the burning smell is still present. Can't find any burn damage.

We've now pulled out the transformer and measured 1.3 on the primary coil and 0.3 on the secondary. There's no continuity between either coils and the iron core which I believe is ok.
We're not actually sure it's faulty? Do those reading seem ok?

Any other advice would be welcome.

Thanks everyone.
