This is my dining room ceiling :( It's been like this for a long time but it steadily getting worse. Above it is the en suite which I assume is leaking somewhere.

Now I have lots of time on my hands I'm thinking what I can do. The shower room is tiled and I'm thinking better to go at it from below. Can/should I just cut a big hole in the ceiling here and try to fix that way?!

Any tips hugely welcome :)

I would start at the en suite ,assuming there is shower ,that would be the most likely place. Obviously could be elsewhere ,but in my experience it's usually the shower ,supply pipes/ waste pipework ,failed silicone sealant or tiles/ grout.
