Earlier on in the year i reported having a damp situation in an understairs cupboard in a previous post. The cupboard is still an issue even with some remedial work to correct certain issues. We did notice after throwing out a couple of buckets of water that all the water filters into that particular corner and down through the concrete slabs.

We are pretty sure that this is the route to the issue of the damp cupboard. I would like your experience thoughts as to what could be done to possibly solve this persistence paini the rear.

Buckets of water? That's what I'd call damp. We need more info.

Hi,

I suppose i did not explain that too well, i was washing out some paint brushes and some of the paint water splashed out on to the patio so i through out a couple of buckets of water to wash it down. That is when i noticed alot of the water was draining into that corner. There are some pictures on here of the area. Please see an earlier post: Damp 1930's cupboard floor. There are alot of pictures on there of what is in that area.

Regards

Mandy

Hard standings should fall away from the building. You might have to consider altering the slabs accordingly.

Without reading your previous thread; have you made sure your dampness is not due to condensation and ventilation issues? Very common in under stairs cupboards - in 30s houses.
