Hi all,

my extension has been finished for a couple of weeks but I’ve noticed an issue on the window reveal.

small “wet” areas where to plaster meets the window.

I’ve looked at all my progress videos and can’t see it being the roof as there is a massive lintel above the window.

Just curious if those damp patches Line up with your rafters?

Long shot but I was wondering if a nail From the battens has missed The rafter and punctured the membrane and allowing a drop or two of water in.

I have just fitted a steel lintel over some bifolds and it had a drip edge which yours doesn't appear to have, not sure how important that is?

Good question, I’ll have to try lift a few tiles at the weekend,

Could this just be saturated timber and the gravity allowing the water to seep to the lowest part of the beam before dripping off? If the materials were stored outside or were installed sometime before the roof covering?

The roof was finished on the 20th of July, i had been waiting for windows and bifold, the theory is a possibility, but I would have assumed the wood below the tiled roof would have dried over that sort of period

Does look like there is a cavity tray
