Damp

Hi Guys, I want to start re-decorating the bathroom, but before i start i would like some advice on how to get rid of a small area of damp.
It's just little speckles which covers about a foot square. There is not a lot of it but it just looks unsightly, is there anything i could buy that would solve or remove this.

This can depend on where the damp is.....is it in a still air zone with no ventilation or any possibility that it could be caused by poor sealant / tiny leak / waste connections etc?
