I'm as vulnerable to recession as any voter. Whilst my overheads are small and my customer base fairly loyal and bouyant, I'm not completely Covid/No-Deal Brexit proof.

I will be as quick as any Brexer to vote in a pro EU government, should people around me begin losing jobs, homes, endure poverty and see their children suffer unnecessarily.

I'm at a loss to see why you've changed the discussion so suddenly and toward such a totally different track.
Some non-EU members have not really experienced any Covid recessions, e.g Vietnam.
But it's too early to tell whether EU or non-EU members will weather the recession better.
Even many years down the line, I'm sure arguments will continue about who fared the recession better.

As far as I can see, the discussion was about Conservative members, tearing up their membership card, Brexit, the current UK government, and individuals susceptibility to a recession.
I don't see any previous reference to recessional comparisons between EU member states, and non-EU member states. I can't see the relevance to the discussion.
