What would the recommendation be for mounting the below 6U 500 deep cabinet to a stud wall?! Each side has 2 holes at the top but only the outer 2 are 16 inch centres which i believe should hit the studs in the wall.
What fixings are best to use, and should I mount ply first and drill additional fixings through the bottom corners of the cab or will it weaken the integrity.
Just 2 fixings doesnt seem enough to me to hold the weight of switch, CCTV NVR etc.

How far apart are your studs? If they're within 16", drill the mounting bracket to match.

Use all four mount holes , even a single screw into a stud would be enough so 4 is fine .

only 2 of the holes will reach though as the outer 2 are 16 inch apart. inner 2 will miss the stud? Hex wood screws best through the cab and into stud, what length typically so don't go right through the wall.
