What would you say was a survivable way of being arrested if you were a black man (being arrested)?

Should lying face down on the floor be survivable?
What the figures - how many died running and how many died staying still? What’s the best odds?

But even then - a black man is at risk risk of dying.
And you wonder why they are in fear and run.
Anyone is at risk of dying when not treated correctly. Do you think more black people are shot by police in the USA compared to white people?

Okay, okay. Let me put it this way - a three part question for you.
A. What is NOT likely to happen if you resist arrest in the USA?
B. What is the worse that could happen if you resisted arrest in the USA?
C. What would you do if you were arrested in the USA - comply or resist?

More chance of dying when running away as has been proven countless times.
You have no statistics of people running away and surviving. So your comparison was fantasy.
Now you're squirming trying to make out you meant something else rather than what you said.

What the **** are you talking about? Just answer the question and stop swerving and diverting.

Mottie getting aggressive as usual, 'cos he's been proven to have said something very stupid as usual.

You have no statistics of people surviving by running away, against which to make a comparison.
In addition, the fight or flight response takes over when in a situation that endangers your life.
And it has become obvious that, for a black person being stopped by armed police is a risk to life for the black person, even when the black person is unarmed and not presenting any danger to the police.

So, as noseall has shown, a black person's life is at risk during an armed police stop, if they do resist, if they do not resist, or even if they lie face down.
So what is the best thing to do?

And yet black people are prepared to take the risk. Irrationality and fear are sinister bedfellows.

Even when they comply they get shot. Bigots like Mottie are hilarious. They scream about complying with the law and when the terrorists stormed the capitol and did not comply with orders they are silent.

That is shocking. I hadn’t heard of that incident.

It’s a perfect example of why it is better to live in a country with proper gun controls.

The police don’t need to be armed because armed civilians are few and far between, and those that are armed rarely use them on the police. Consequently, our police aren’t constantly in fear of being shot and can operate at a much lower level of aggression. Then, if they do over react for whatever reason, the consequences of their mistake is that much less severe.

I concur. Also we police by consent and we don't have multiple overlapping police department jurisdiction or qualified immunity.

However US citizens tend to be on edge. In a country where your healthcare is tied to your employment and many states have at Will employment laws meaning you can be fired for any reason - also factor in the long work hours to show the boss you are doing over and above your contracted hours and a regressive tax system - people end up working multiple jobs.

So they are on edge and any infraction they over react.

The reason the soldier did not unbuckle his belt and was not complying was that it would give the officer reason enough to shoot him as he would argue he could be reaching for a weapon. Police officers have shot and killed people for adjusting their shorts.

Bigots like Mottie will never learn.

This is harrowing. He was begging for his life.
