Dead Dewalt Battery Revival
I have a dead battery that will not charge and came across this hack to revive it. Before I try it is that a reason not to. Its only a 1.3 and I have had it a number of years.

Yes it could work but the problem I see is if you have a dead cell. That will continue to pull power 24/7 causing battery to go flat again and not charge. I've seen videos where the dead cell was replaced.
It's up to you if you try this but these batteries are dangerous and a faulty one would worry me

Mine are many years old. Just buy a new bigger capacity battery is my advice

Tried this hack on 3 Makita batteries so far and it hasn't worked on any of them. Admittedly two of them were chinese knockoffs.

Thanks everyone I might give it a try, I have other batteries these 1.3 ones came with a drill and impact driver I had 2 in the set and are old I suppose now but I also have 2 newer 2.0 batteries.

Keep to the manufacturers battery's. The fakes can be dangerous and vould vost alot of money if they go whoop in someone's house.

Not got round to trying the "fix" yet - yes if I buy i will stick to dewalt
