Has there been a decision as to splitting the plumbing forum yet :?:

It does seem the majority are in favour but I would prefer to see a boiler related probs in one forum and general plumbing in the other. :D

It's already been done - there's a combined plumbing and central heating forum, and an invisible forum containing absolutely nothing.

I thought the invisible one was full of people arguing about my boiler

No, that's the elitist one; it's visible, but secured.

And if someone claims that it's invisible, the someone else will claim that they can see it.

Here's an idea for a split:

a) All technical enquiries.

b) All RFQs, complaints about being ripped off, and 'where can I get a cheap banana' type of post.

The latter forum could have a single sticky topic at the top that simply says "F*** Off".

I would think between hydronics and steam applications and radiant heating one would consider "heating" to be a stand alone topic.

It is bad enough when "plumbing" and gas fitting and fire suppression drainage are all lumped into one area.

Drainage alone one can specialize and heating has a host of sub topics that can be placed in the heating area.

just another opinion
