Hi,

I need to fix a 2x6 ledger board to the house for a deck. The house is cavity wall and I assume the outer bricks are 100mm. Length of the board is 4.75 m

What fixings should I use? Ive looked around on the internet and there are all sorts of suggestions and I dont know which are best for my application.

Screws and plugs, throughbolts, concrete screws, resin anchors etc. and which ever ones I use how deep should the hole in the brick be? Presumably I cant go any deeper than about 80mm?

Also what diameter. M10 enough or M12?

Thanks

Anything except resin. Nr10 or 12 (5/6mm) screws and brown/blue plugs if you like, it's a deck after all!

70mm deep
