Decking Framework

I've just dug out a small strip (5.7m x 1m) out the back of my house for decking. I was going to use 5x2 for the frame, currently I'm planning to put supporting blocks every 1.5m or so - sound about right? Due to a drainage pipe running under the planned deck placing supports to the central piece of timber is a no go, would noggins placed every metre or so to opposite sides make the frame rigid enough?
