True, but in the video the taxi driver himself who got beaten said he didn't understand to this day why he and others were beaten at the scene of MLK's murder. They told Bobby Kennedy about what happened and what they saw when MLK was killed, Bobby was dead around 2 months later...

It wasn't just the black man waiting in his taxi who was beaten and told to leave the scene.

The Memphis police officers were at the scene within minutes. Did the police officers take witness statements from him and the others? Or were they beaten into submission to stop them telling others what they saw and experienced?
