Our old chap (nearly 70) not the greatest on his feet but likes decorating when hes up to it. He doesnt like step ladders and hes only doing downstairs (maybe 1 or 2 rolls max). I was wondering if anyone makes a box about 600 x 600 x 600mm which he could stand on as he wants to put a few strips of new paper on the wall and hes not that tall. Hes a good 100kg so something thats ready available rather than me have something made etc. Any thoughts without it being not expensive (wood?). Seems hes see such before (liked it) but cannot remember :-)

Would a hop up be suitable?

The following is 500mm tall. The platform is 600 wide and 300 deep. Rated at 150kg. £35. (BTW the one in the image is more expensive and wider).

It is aluminium, weighs 4kg and folds flat. It can be stored outside even over winter.

More expensive versions have adjustable height legs.

I occasionally use mine as workbenches when on site.

Edit- no assembly required.
