hiya..this is my first post, so be gentle!!! i am getting a new bathroom suite installed. my current bathroom has tiles all over the place. they have been tiled over tiles. i want to remove them but then have a silky smooth finish to paint on afterwards.
what is te best thng to do - chip ALL the tiles off and sand down bumpy grout or hack the wall off and get a plasterer to make good then paint once skimmed??
ta :)

We are just about to have the same done, we have tiles practically up to a coved ceiling and were advised to 'chip' these off and have the walls skimmed professionally.

Hack them all off and then replaster. Glad to hear that you are not tiling all over - it looks like a public loo.
