Can anyone help please does this switch need derating for mains halogen fittings

http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Main_Ind...s_4/index.html

I know they sell it cheaper on screwfix but it didn't give much information hence the link.

I know normally you derate dimmers to roughly half for GU10's but what about this one? I know that some do not need to be derated. Any link to details about this dimmer not needing dimming would be appreciated.

Im pretty sure they need to be derated for gu10's or similar lights, mightbe best to give them a call to be 100% certain mate

Cheers for your answers guys, so it seems I can take that one as the wattage stated even for GU10's, it just makes you doubt it when you check other places they sell it and thay mention nothing about derating etc. It seems TLC is one of the few that give you such information at the buying stage.

Is the problem with GU10's just a peak current on switching on or is there some other reason that requires you to derate?
