Hi,
does anybody know how to descale the heat exchanger on a worcester 240?
The flow on the hot taps has gradually diminished over time and there isnt enough flow for boiler to kick in.

Remove it and take it outside, pour in ds40 and wait for it to stop foaming.
Now rince and repeat. Replace and run off a bath.

see if this has helped.

How is the heating when on, is this hot.

Thanks
What is DS40 and where can i get it?

Heating is fine,
When i need hot water, I put the heating on, this ignites gas, then tap water is hot but low flow.

could be worth looking at the cold water inlet filter.think these are situated between were the cold feed enters the divertor valve diagphragm body.the big round flat brass thing with the microswitch housing on it.

Probably the flow limiter...it sits in the connection between the heat exchanger and the slip coupling piece that joins the diverter. Just remove the O ring from the center of the flow limiter.
