Hi,
does anybody know how to descale the heat exchanger on a worcester 240?
The flow on the hot taps has gradually diminished over time and there isnt enough flow for boiler to kick in.
could be worth looking at the cold water inlet filter.think these are situated between were the cold feed enters the divertor valve diagphragm body.the big round flat brass thing with the microswitch housing on it.
Probably the flow limiter...it sits in the connection between the heat exchanger and the slip coupling piece that joins the diverter. Just remove the O ring from the center of the flow limiter.
I had a problem with my heat exchanger recently. I removed it and descaled it several times over the couse of an hour or so using several sachets of "Oust" descaler. It done the trick and i now have hot water. The pack of Oust cost me £1.39 from Tesco!
